FOR VARSITY

I. LAW AND POLITICS
• THBT TNI/POLRI should be allowed to vote in general election
• THW put restriction on the advertisement of political candidates
• THW introduce proxy votes mechanism in the next general election

II. GLOBAL CRISIS
• THW would reconsider opening its market
• THW halt the ASEAN Chiang Mai Initiative
• THW significantly increase subsidy during the global crisis

III. MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY

• THW protect its property using DRM
• THW criminalize fake id on social networking websites
• THBT developing countries should not join space race

IV. INTERNATIONAL

• THBT US should drop its embargo on Cuba
• THBT EU will be better off by pushing forward the Libson Treaty without full ratification
• THBT that Kenya’s “Truth Commission” will hinder reconciliation in the country

V. ENVIRONMENT

• THBT state owned companies should go green
• THW link aid to environment
• THBT a country can be put liable to another country for the damage it caused to the environment

• THW allow everyone to bid for the next election
• THW replace Prison with community service for minor crimes
• THBT patients should have the right to refuse treatment (non assisted suicide)

II. GLOBAL CRISIS

• THW would reconsider opening its market
• THW ease the standard minimum of income to mitigate global crisis
• THW introduce business tax holiday to small and medium enterprises

III. MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY

• THW Ban advertisements in schools
• THW allow animated child pornography
• THBT politicians should not be allowed to own media companies

IV. INTERNATIONAL

• THW make Jerusalem the capital of two states
• THW not treat illegal immigrants as criminals
• THW sift international aid to investment in African Nations

V. ENVIRONMENT

• THW cut tax for green products
• THBT the Arctic should stay sacred
• THW ban eco-tourism in developing countries
